Summer Laptop Retention June 2023

This year returning Inglewood students will keep their laptops over the summer.

Because of this change, they should:
  • Keep track of their power cord and stylus pen.
  • Keep the laptop charged.
  • Occasionally restart and log-on to the computer.
  • Check to make sure that One Drive and TEAMS are working.
If technology help is needed over the summer:
  • Email Family Technology Access at FTaccess@lwsd.org or call (425) 936-1322.
  • Go to the Resource Center in Redmond and ask for the Helpdesk (for in-person service).
Students needing assistance during summer school will have tech support at their summer school location.

During the summer, students who withdraw from the district will be asked to return their laptop to LWSD Resource Center in Redmond at 16250 NE 74th Street Redmond, WA 98052.

This year only eighth graders and students leaving LWSD will turn in their laptops and power cords on June 20 in the library.

If families prefer that the laptop be stored at IMS over the summer, please fill out the following IMS retention form by June 14. Students will return their laptop at the library on June 20th. During the first week of school, these laptops will be available during 6th grade laptop rollout.

Questions?  Please contact Ms. Stroup in the library or email her at sstroup@lwsd.org.

Secondary students will be issued a new LWSD laptop computer and power cord/charger at the start of the school year in 6th grade and in 9th grade for the duration of middle school and/or high school.  All students will comply with the LWSD’s Student Electronic Resources and Internet Safety Policy (2022P) and the LWSD Student Laptop Handbook. The use of the equipment can be restricted or revoked for inappropriate use.
