Video: Battle of the Books

Teams of four to six students from every middle school in Lake Washington School District showed up at Kirkland Middle School on March 25 for this year’s Battle of the Books. The students have spent the school year reading the 12 books that the middle school librarians had selected; in most cases reading each book multiple times, getting to know the books inside and out. Battle of the Books is an annual competition where the top readers for the event from every middle school get together to answer questions about those books in a quiz show/trivia contest format. It was a loud, tense, but fun, night as students answered questions from the selected books. In an extremely tight contest, the students from Kamiakin Middle School brought back the coveted trophy to their campus this year.
