CO-ED Wrestling

GOALS: IMPROVE WRESTLING SKILLS, SPORT KNOWLEDGE, HAVE FUN, AND TEAM ORIENTED

On the first day of practice all wrestlers will meet in weight room from 2:30-4:00pm—coaches will review practice routines. Occasionally, Wednesday morning practices will be held during the season as needed.

Match schedules will be handed out on the first week of practice.

Athletes need to bring athletic clothes (shorts and t-shirt), wrestling shoes, a water bottle and if your wrestler has braces they MUST have a mouthpiece in order to wrestle. Headgear and match singlets will be provided by the school and must be returned.

Parents need to arrange a ride for their child after practices – there will be a bus to away matches which all athletes are required to ride. Parents can pick up students back at IMS. If they ride home with an adult who is not a family member you need to fill out a transportation permission form handed out by the coaching staff.

Your child should receive a parent packet with more information and schedules during the first week: including a bus permission form that needs to be signed and turned into COACH prior to taking a bus.
